Whiskey Jack

While hiking most of the Vancouver Island mountain trails you will see the Gray Jay or Whiskey Jack as it is called by the locals.  This beautiful little bird is very friendly and will almost always land on your hand to eat what you have to offer. They will follow you while you hike waiting patiently for you to offer up some tid bits of food.

And they will pose quite nicely for you while you take photographs of them or shoot a video if you like.
